Kangaroo Cord: Arete's 100% nylon accessory cord.

The Arete Cord options are 4 different materials, 100% of each one with a few select blends.Ā Each one is available from 3mm to 8mm because specific projects demand specific needs.Ā The tech specs have sigma 3 MBS strengths in a diverter (full strength), figure 8 and in a loop.Ā Ā Every cord has its own personality ā just like the animals theyāre named after.

Kangaroo Cord - 100% Nylon - KangaroosĀ are bouncy and so will this if it's long enough.Ā It's woven to be similar to a nylon semi-static rope.Ā Nylon accessory cord has a ton of applications.Ā It's been around for 80 years!

Our larger cords (7mm, 8mm) have a very durable sheath and high enough MBS to be used as prusik cords, cordelette anchors, and ice threads. Smaller cords can be used in non-life-safety applications.Ā We don't recommend using nylon accessory cord for tag lines because it's so stretchy.Ā POLYESTER ACCESSORY CORD is better for that.

Accessory cords are NOT for use as lead climbing ropes.
