Stainless Steel Spring Hook Carabiners

Stainless Steel Spring Hook Carabiners

These spring hook carabiners are an inexpensive alternative for an open anchor system or backup component. They’re made from 10mm stainless steel rod stock. The 3.5mm thick wiregate not only adds strength but also adds resistance to the gate opening very easily; it also helps keep the wiregate in the (thicker) nose so that it doesn't pop-out of the nose so easily. Some people may not be used to gates this way, but we think this feature does have its advantages. We don't recommend them for use on permadraws; they're best suited for anchors. They will require a quick link to install.

They’re manufactured in China, and then inspected & in-house passivated in Taiwan.

Climbing Taiwan Break test video shows strengths of  26.60kN, 46.88kN, 49.58kN, 37.76kN, 46.36kN, and 36.14kN. NOTE: The first 3 & last 3 tests were of samples from 2 different manufacturers. The manufacturer they went with made the samples from the last 3 tests.

Climbing Taiwan gives them a WLL of 8 kN and MBS of 24kN. They are not certified.
